My instructional philosophy is grounded in social constructivism and the tenets of andragogy proposed by Malcolm Knowles. I believe that it is impossible to dispense knowledge to students. Instead, I believe learning is about providing an experience through which students can activate their previous experience and expertise, enhance their self-concept, develop autonomous learning skills, find a reason to learn, build intrinsic motivation, and actively reflect.
